Getnol is an effective remedy for bowel cleansing which might be required prior to endoscopy or other conditions requiring complete bowel emptying and cleansing.
Macrogol 4000 consists of a mixture of non-absorbable polyethylene glycol (PEG) with a mean molecular weight of 4000 Da. When Macrogol 4000 is taken orally together with water, these water molecules bind to the polymer before entering the intestine. Reaching inside intestine, the stool volume is increased and stool consistency becomes softer. This stimulates and eases the defecation process.
Potassium Chloride eliminates electrolyte imbalance in the body, improves metabolism in the myocardium and its energy supply, has antiarrhythmic properties. Contributes to the maintenance of proper intracellular and extracellular levels of potassium, which is the main intracellular ion that plays an important role in cellular metabolism and regulation of various body functions.
Sodium Bicarbonate is an antacid that regulates the acid-base balance. It has alkaline properties, increases the alkaline reserve of the blood. When taken orally, it quickly neutralizes the hydrochloric acid of gastric juice and has a quick, but short-term antacid effect.
Sodium Chloride is an electrolyte that regulates the amount of water in the body. Sodium chloride is used to treat or prevent sodium loss caused by dehydration, excessive sweating, or other causes.
Sodium Sulfate is prescribed orally as a laxative with plenty of water for intestinal blockage and colitis, overfeeding, flatulence, deworming and poisoning with various substances. In large doses, the product helps to increase the osmotic pressure in the intestine, where there is an accumulation of a large amount of water, which dilutes the chyme and reflexively enhances peristalsis.

Getnol is for adults only!
- A complete bowel cleansing is necessary in preparation for some diagnostic tests (radiological or endoscopic examinations of the large intestine) and in other conditions that require an emptying of the bowel. Getnol is administered orally.
- The recommended dose is 1 liter of reconstituted solution/15-20 kg, which corresponds to an average dose of 3-4 liters of reconstituted solution (depending on body weight).
- The contents of one sachet will dissolve in one liter of water. The mixture will be stirred until the powder is completely dissolved. The recommended intake is 1 liter of solution per hour.
- The solution is administered either in a single dose (3-4 liters the night before the procedure), or fractionally (2 liters the night before the procedure and 1-2 liters the morning of the procedure). Take the last dose at least 3-4 hours before the procedure.
- Talk to your doctor about how to use this product! The doctor can adjust the recommended dosage individually.

- Hypersensitivity to macrogol 4000 or any of the product's components.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Bowel obstruction, bowel wall perforation or risk of perforation, severe inflammatory bowel disease.
- Toxic colitis or toxic megacolon.
- Severe disturbances in the general condition, such as dehydration or severe heart failure.
- Do not exceed recommended dose for daily consumption. Not to be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Use with caution in fluid and electrolyte disturbances or in the case of concomitant administration of drugs that increase the risk of fluid and electrolyte disturbances, including hyponatremia and hypokalemia, or may increase the risk of potential complications (e.g. people with impaired criminal function, heart failure, or who are being treated concurrently with diuretics).
- There is a possibility that the absorption of certain drugs may be reduced while using the dietary supplement, so that they may not work as expected. Withhold the intake of the dietary supplement at least 2 hours after taking the medication. The food supplement contains sodium and potassium. See this in people with reduced kidney function and those on sodium or potassium restricted diets.
- To be consumed, preferably, before the end of the validity period written on the package.
